Pricing & Engagement

Overview

Black Banner Safety provides transparent pricing for all services. Offerings fall into two main families: Flightline, which combines Reliant RM licensing with implementation and ongoing system stewardship, and Mission Ops, which covers consulting, training, and tools outside the platform.

For Flightline programs, Reliant RM licensing is administered on your behalf by Black Banner Safety and follows Reliant RM’s standardized per-facility, per-user, and per-contributor pricing. Platform costs are passed through as part of an integrated program, and when needed for internal accounting, license and service components can be itemized separately while maintaining a single, coordinated design. Current Reliant RM baseline software pricing is published openly and can be reviewed on the Reliant RM pricing page.

Mission Ops consulting, training under The Range, and Essentials Arsenal templates are scoped based on project size, complexity, and delivery method. The figures on this page are typical starting points; final pricing is confirmed through a Readiness Review, formal Statement of Work, and the billing terms outlined in the Master Service Agreement.

Black Banner Safety is an authorized Reliant RM partner and may receive standard partner compensation; this does not increase the underlying Reliant RM license cost.

Flightline — Reliant RM System Implementation and Support

Reliant RM offers a cloud-based management platform that integrates safety, risk, and compliance into one system. Black Banner Safety provides configuration, deployment, and program-management services to help organizations launch and sustain their Reliant RM environments.

The Terminal
For teams ready to build and launch a Reliant-based safety system.

Expanded implementation to design, configure, and stabilize your Reliant RM environment. Includes:

  • Readiness and program-mapping sessions

  • Configuration of Reliant RM for agreed safety use cases (for example: audits, inspections, incidents, training, corrective actions, and compliance tracking)

  • Site, department, and team structure setup

  • User and contributor setup, including role and permission design

  • Workflow and form design for priority processes

  • Initial dashboards and views for managers and frontline users

  • Pilot use and adjustments based on real-world feedback

  • A defined post-launch stabilization window to fine-tune the system and support hand-off to your internal team or an ongoing Flight Control tier

Most projects span 6–12 months, depending on the number of locations, users, and program areas in scope.

Organizations typically invest between $9,900 and $12,500 in implementation, depending on complexity, plus Reliant RM licensing. Larger or multi-domain environments are scoped separately based on scale and requirements.

After Terminal implementation is complete, organizations can either manage Reliant RM internally, with Black Banner Safety continuing to administer licensing and renewals, or move into a Flight Control tier for ongoing support. All Flight Control tiers (Skywatch and Control Tower) require Terminal implementation.

Flight Control

Flight Control includes two levels of system stewardship and management: Skywatch, structured as a prepaid annual support block sized to your needs, and Control Tower, a fully managed option for organizations that want Black Banner to operate the system on their behalf.

Skywatch
For teams that want expert support on standby after implementation.

Annual systems oversight retainer for established Reliant RM environments following Terminal implementation. Your internal team runs day-to-day operations; Black Banner provides a structured block of expert hours each year to keep the system tuned and evolving.

  • Prepaid annual support block (typically 40 hours per year) for configuration changes, content and workflow enhancements, and targeted improvements

  • Periodic system reviews and planning sessions (for example, quarterly virtual check-ins with program owners)

  • Ad hoc virtual working sessions for administrators and internal stakeholders when issues or new requirements come up

From $7,200 per year for a 40-hour support block, plus Reliant RM licensing. Additional hours or larger enhancements are scoped and billed separately.

Control Tower
For organizations that want a fully managed solution built on Reliant RM.

Tower Lite
Ongoing administration and light program support for established Reliant RM environments. Includes routine configuration updates, user support, reporting assistance, and quarterly performance reviews (up to 10 hours per month).

From $1,800 per month plus Reliant RM licensing.

Tower Full
End-to-end management of the Reliant RM environment, including configuration, user administration, reporting, module optimization, and quarterly strategy reviews (up to 20 hours per month).

From $3,600 per month plus Reliant RM licensing.

Scope & Expansion

Your Reliant RM subscription provides access to the full platform. The Terminal implementation phase focuses initial configuration on a defined set of priority Safety use cases and modules so the most important work goes live first. Additional modules or program areas can be configured later under a separate scope.

Flightline engagements are scoped to the Reliant RM Safety use cases defined in the Statement of Work (for example: audits, incidents, inspections, training, and related workflows). Configuration and implementation for additional functional domains – including but not limited to Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, or HR – are treated as separate projects and contracted under a new Statement of Work.

When an organization is ready to add a new functional area, Black Banner builds on the existing Reliant RM foundation rather than starting from scratch. This typically results in a smaller, focused implementation scope compared to the original build, with pricing and effort adjusted to reflect the work required for that specific line of business.

For Control Tower retainers, monthly hours are intended for administration, optimization, and incremental enhancements within the implemented scope. Management of additional functional areas may be incorporated through an adjusted retainer and, where substantial new configuration is required, an increase in licenses and a separate implementation Statement of Work.

Mission Ops — Consulting and Program Support

Black Banner Safety provides independent consulting, audits, and program development across all areas of safety and health management. Mission Ops is designed as a flexible, project-based offering to support organizations that need expert help without a full-time hire. Pricing is quoted according to project size, complexity, and delivery method (virtual vs. on-site).

Engagement Process

  1. Readiness Review – Define objectives and confirm service level.

  2. Proposal & Scope – Receive a formal statement of work outlining cost, timeline, and deliverables.

  3. Execution & Support – Projects follow milestone-based billing: 50% due at contract signing and 50% upon completion of defined deliverables or time window. Ongoing engagements are invoiced monthly.

  4. Portions of the initial installment may be designated as a non-refundable retainer to secure project start dates and capacity. Specific retainer amounts are defined in the Master Service Agreement (MSA) and Statement of Work (SOW) for each engagement.
